The ask.com toolbar accidentially installed on your computer and pops up every time you access the Internet? Do you want to remove this toolbar but do not know what you should do? I have just deleted this program from my PC and will going to show you solutions here.
Whenever you want to uninstall ask.com toolbar, I would recommend you to try uninstalling it by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel first. It is an utility that allows you to uninstall programs freely.
->Go to Start menu, click Control Panel;
*if you are using Windows Vista/7/8, click Uninstall a Program;
*if you are using Windows XP, click Add or Remove Programs.
->Within the currently installed program list, locate the ask.com toolbar and click “Uninstall” or “Change/Remove” tab to start the removal.
->Follow the prompts to finish the uninstall process.
Secondly, we know that the ask.com toolbar will add the extention to your browsers and navigate you to some known pages or display constant ads. After the removal from Add/Remove Program, remove ask.com toolbar for your browsers. Here, I take Internet Explorer as an example to show you how to do:
* Open Internet Explorer, click on the gear icon at the top, then click again on Internet Options.
* In the Internet Options dialog box, click on the Advanced tab and then the Reset button.
* In the popping-up screen, check the Delete personal settings box, then click on Reset.
*When the resetting finishes, click Close and then OK in the confirmation dialogue box.
* Close and open Internet Explorer; and you won’t be redirected to the annoying page ask.com, or nl.ask.com anymore.
